(42:1)

عسق

AAaynseenqaf

'Ain. Sin. Qaf.

(42:2)

كَذَلِكَ يُوحِي إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكَ اللَّهُ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

Kathalika yoohee ilayka waila allatheena min qablika Allahu alAAazeezu alhakeem(u)

Thus reveals to you-SW and to those before you-SW Allah-SWT, the Mighty, the Wise.

(42:3)

لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ

Lahu ma fee a(l)ssamawati wama fee alardi wahuwa alAAaliyyu alAAatheem(u)

His-SWT is whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and He-SWT is the Exalted, the Grand.

(42:4)

تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِن فَوْقِهِنَّ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ أَلَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ

Takadu a(l)ssamawatu yatafattarna min fawqihinna wa(a)lmalaikatu yusabbihoona bihamdi rabbihim wayastaghfiroona liman fee alardi ala inna Allaha huwa alghafooru a(l)rraheem(u)

Well-nigh might be rent the heavens from above them. And the angels hallow the Praise of their Rabb-SWT and ask His-SWT Forgiveness for those on the earth. Lo! Verily Allah-SWT; He-SWT is the Forgiver, the Merciful.

(42:5)

وَالَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ أَولِيَاء اللَّهُ حَفِيظٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَا أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍ

Wa(a)llatheena ittakhathoo min doonihi awliyaa Allahu hafeethun AAalayhim wama anta AAalayhim biwakeel(in)

And those who take patrons beside Him-SWT -Allaah-SWT is Warden over them, and you-SW are not guardian over them

(42:6)

وَكَذَلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّتُنذِرَ أُمَّ الْقُرَى وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَتُنذِرَ يَوْمَ الْجَمْعِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ فَرِيقٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَفَرِيقٌ فِي السَّعِيرِ

Wakathalika awhayna ilayka quranan AAarabiyyan litunthira omma alqura waman hawlaha watunthira yawma aljamAAi la rayba feehi fareequn fee aljannati wafareequn fee a(l)ssaAAeer(i)

And thus We-SWT have revealed to you-SW a Quran in Arabic, that you-SW may warn thereby the mother-town and those around it, and that you-SW may warn them of a Day of Assembling whereof there is no doubt. And of mankind a party will be in the Garden, and a party in the Blaze.

(42:7)

وَلَوْ شَاء اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَهُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَكِن يُدْخِلُ مَن يَشَاء فِي رَحْمَتِهِ وَالظَّالِمُونَ مَا لَهُم مِّن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ

Walaw shaa Allahu lajaAAalahum ommatan wahidatan walakin yudkhilu man yashao fee rahmatihi wa(al)ththalimoona ma lahum min waliyyin wala naseer(in)

And had Allaah-SWT willed, He-SWT would have made them all a single community. But He-SWT causes whom He-SWT will to enter into His-SWT Mercy. And the ungodly! For them there shall be no patron or helper.

(42:8)

أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاء فَاللَّهُ هُوَ الْوَلِيُّ وَهُوَ يُحْيِي المَوْتَى وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Ami ittakhathoo min doonihi awliyaa fa(A)llahu huwa alwaliyyu wahuwa yuhyee almawta wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeer(un)

Have they taken patrons besides Him-SWT ? But Allaah-SWT ! He-SWT is the Patron He-SWT quickens the dead, and He-SWT is Potent over everything

(42:9)

In The Name of Allah-SWT the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
SECRETS OF REVELATION:

The knowledge of Isolated Letters is only with Allaah-SWT .In order to uphold the Truth and expound realities with logical arguments, all the preceding Prophets-AS received Divine revelations, just as the Holy Prophet-SW is receiving now. Allaah-SWT is Mighty and Wise, to Him-SWT belongs all that lies in the heavens and the earth, and He-SWT is Sovereign over everything, the Greatest, the Most Magnificent. His-SWT Command prevails over the universe as well as over the predetermined affairs of man. Had He-SWT wanted, He-SWT would have imposed submission. It is His-SWT Sagacity that He-SWT blessed man with the power to choose, and sent a chain of Prophets-AS for his guidance Otherwise there are so many angels dedicated to His-SWT Praise and worship round the clock that the heavens are overcrowded. These angels seek forgiveness for the residents of earth too. The infidels also benefit from it but it will be of no avail to them upon and after death. However, if someone accepts this Message, Allaah-SWT is extremely Forgiving and Gracious and His-SWT Mercy is boundless. And the sins of all those who pin hopes on others and obey them against His-SWT Command are duly recorded. The Holy Prophet-SW must forewarn them because his-SW task is to convey the Message and not to impose it.

 

Mother Town

With the Quran revealed in Arabic, the Holy Prophet-SW must warn the people inhabiting the mother town, indeed the best of all towns Makkah is the most beloved city of Allaah-SWT and His-SWT Prophet-SW. It is superior by virtue of being the starting point of earth and the harbinger of all civilizations The Holy Prophet-SW must also warn those living in the surroundings and in turn the whole world about the Day of Judgement, when the entire creation will gather to reckon for their deeds. There is absolutely no doubt in its occurrence. On that Day mankind will be divided into two groups, one destined for Jannah and the other bound for Hell. Had Allaah-SWT willed to impose faith on mankind, He-SWT would have made all as one nation, with no disputes or disobedience. However, it was by His-SWT Wisdom that He-SWT left the decision to mankind, He-SWT covers with His-SWT Mercy whoever seeks Him-SWT and grants the capacity to believe and act piously. And those guilty of denial will neither find a friend nor a helper in the Akhirah.

 

Absurd indeed is the conduct of those who are pinning hopes for help and satisfaction of their needs on others than Allaah-SWT . It only befits His-SWT Grace to cater for the entire needs of and to fulfill the aspirations of everyone, for basically every particle in the universe is dead or worthless. It is He-SWT Who-SWT grants it life or existence. And anything that benefits mankind is a creation of Allah-SWT,  Who-SWT resolves all matters and is Potent over everything
